1. How do I know what I'm getting as far as video quality goes?

   We have opted to provide samples on our samples page. Also we may upload a sample of your video that you may view it prior to placing the full clip to DVD. Also we offer a free trial of 15 minutes to DVD or a 50 foot film reel to DVD as a sample.

2. Do you use DVD recorders to transfer the tapes?

   DVD recorders offer some benefits such as reduced steps though there is currently a limit to what you may do with the menu structure and on account of that we capture the footage to high quality digital video then compress the file to a compliant MPEG2 DVD format. This method not only offers us full flexibility of the menu creation process but the encoding parameters as well.

3. Do you offer NTSC - PAL conversions of VHS tapes and DVD discs?

   Yes we can convert PAL to NTSC for VHS tapes and DVD discs though for DVD's the menu may need to be recreated as only the video sequence of the dvd is converted.

4. Are there any customizations which I may add to the video package?

   Yes, you may specify text, the arrangement of clips & photo's along with specified music. Additionaly you may also specify a menu image along with a DVD case cover image of your choice.

5. I wish to place my slides to a DVD slideshow, are there transitions between images?

   Yes there are transitions which we may add during the creation process along with text, music and images similar to a video transfer package.

6. Do you offer printing services?

   At present we do not offer specialized printing services as our focus is mainly with video transfer and CD - DVD duplication though may offer more advanced printing in the future.

7. How may I place an order?

   You may place your order online using any major credit card through 2CO or paypal. International money orders, cheques or cash are acceptable for offline orders. 9. Is ordering from your site online secure?

   That is an excellent question and the answer is absolutely yes. There is security encryption for both our direct credit card processing as well as paypal. 2CO is part of the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and for paypal which many may not heave heard of uses high encryption. 10. How may I send my tapes?

    You may choose a method of delivery that is suitable to you such as UPS, Fedex or regular post. Be sure to package your material well to prevent any damage and to mark the value of your material at $25.00 if you are located in the U.S to prevent customs charges though you may prefer to insure your material depending on it's overall value offering you peace of mind.

11. How long does it take to receive the tapes and DVD's back?

    The general turn around time is 10 to 14 days though depending on quantity and custom requests, return times vary accordingly.

12. What are the shipping and handling charges?

    Shipping and handling charges are based on return package weight and dimension and this why we don't have a general shipping charge upon ordering. We offer Canada Post, UPS or Fedex Air shipping options.

13. Do you offer discounts or reduced pricing on bulk orders?

    Absolutely, if your order is between 20 to 40 hours of video runtime. Cost per transfer is reduced to $28.00 per 2 hours of video and reduces to $27.00 for 41 to 51 hours. We also offer discounts dependant on the total film footage and number of slides to be processed.

15. What is your refund policy if any?

    We offer a 30 day money back guarantee. Just send your material back to us within 30 days of the order and DigiteckMedia will refund your money in full with the exception of shipping and handling.

16. Is there a warranty on any of your services? What if the DVD's are damaged on arrival?

    Yes there is a 1 year warranty on all CD's and DVD's provided by Digiteckmedia Services. If the CD's or DVD's you recieved from us seem damaged or scratched we will replace them at no additional cost to you except for the cost of shipping.

17. I have more than 2 hours of footage on one tape. Does that mean I can only get the first 2 hours transferred?

    No, All of the footage will be transferred though it may need to be placed onto a second DVD as the standard is 2 hours of high quality material.

18. What if I have two 60 minute tapes. Can you transfer the footage from both tapes to 1 DVD?

    Yes, if that is what you would like then absolutely!

19. What sort of audio is used when creating my DVD?

    There are currently three options though only two of them are used as the first utilizes more space than is necessary. MPEG1 Layer II or Dolby Digital may be used when choosing your package.

    DVD is a digital format which offers higher quality video and audio. There are also more audio choices to choose from unlike analogue tapes. Digital formats also retain their audio and video quality unlike tapes as they are magnetic and deteriorate over time. There are also additional advantages to digital formats and those being space , customizable , flexibility , longevity and compatibility.
